Summary:
Key Requirements:

Floral Designers are first and foremost responsible to our guests, building a reputation for Ultimate Service in guest relations, with a focus on delivering consistent high quality products that make our guests feel every event or occasion has special meaning.

When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
Differentiate in products and service by producing quality products
Follow daily work schedule as assigned by management
Ensure quality and consistent product availability and solutions to our guests
Responsible for maintaining positive atmosphere, spirit and morale within the department
Support and execute against division concepts and programs
Utilize floral systems and processes consistently and correctly
Practice safe work habits; maintain a high level of store cleanliness, organization, and a safe work environment
Responsible for safe guarding, controlling and monitoring all floral department assets, ensuring policy and procedures are implemented for control of assets
Ensure special orders are ready 30 minutes prior to pick-up or delivery time
Ensure wedding flowers are ready two hours prior to pick-up or delivery time
Assist in watering and department maintenance as needed
Perform other duties assigned by management

Key Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of six months experience in retail floral designing and volume production
  • Working knowledge of plants and flowers
  • Ability to work at fast-paced, but efficient and controlled manner
  • Ability to perform all physical aspects of position, including but not limited to standing, bending, lifting, climbing, squatting and walking
  • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 lbs. and push and pull up to 100 lbs.
  • Ability to work within a cooler for up to 15 minutes
  • Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude
  • Attend meetings and training sessions when called upon
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays
  • Ability to function as a team member and get along with others

▪ Consistently keep the store energy lively & upbeat for customers & yourteammates
▪ Invite exploration of our unique, affordable, authentic, responsibleproduct
▪ Suggest product to complement & complete initial selections to increase sales
▪ Provide strong follow-up to support & fulfill customer requests
▪ Share the stories, collaborations, craft & details behind our products to bring them to life for our customer
▪ Listen intently to discover customer aspirations, anticipate needs & suggest the right products
▪ Manage all aspects of a customer’s expectations, clearly communicating product information, care, maintenance,
timeframes & delivery
▪ Create lasting relationships with customers by capturing contacts, re-connecting & promoting all of the inspiration, events & services WOW Bouquets has to offer including the product launches, collaborations, how-to events, promotions & Home Stylist consultations
▪ Continually seek out inspiration, trends & ways to elevate product, decorating & styling expertise
▪ Be an authority on the best local services including florists, upholstery cleaners, landscapers, plumbers, etc.
▪ Be an expert on all local design magazines, bloggers & the design community to build relationships
▪ Collaborate with the store team by appreciating & valuing the talents & contributions of others
▪ Consistently seek out ways to help customers & your teammates
▪ Drive sales by clienteling & connecting customers to you & WOW Bouquets
▪ Fulfill a promise for customers by seamlessly processing & coordinating all aspects of their purchase
▪ Maximize all of the resources available to get the customer what they want & resolve any issues

▪ Must be able to spend ample time on the sales floor focusing on customerneeds
▪ Must be able to lift & mobilize medium to large items, up to 75 lbs., while utilizing appropriate equipment & safety techniques
▪ Casual associates must be available to work a minimum of two regularly scheduled shifts on the weekend (Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday) and two during the week (Monday to Thursday). Associates must be available for annual inventory and entire holiday season (November and December).
*Example: Weekend availability cannot fall on the same day; an associate must be available on two separate days (Friday and Saturday, Friday and Sunday or Saturday and Sunday). If preferred, an associate can also choose to have all three shifts of availability on the weekend (Friday to Sunday) and none during the week (Monday to Thursday).
